From the very beginning, as I envisioned Imogen's journey, I knew it would unfold as a thrilling two-part adventure. The first book concluded with a simple yet intriguing "To Be Continued," setting the stage for an exciting follow-up that ties up all the loose ends – and that's precisely where book two comes in.

Eagerly awaiting feedback from my friends after completing the first book, I couldn't resist diving into the writing process of book two. However, I encountered a challenge right from the start. While the first book maintained a light and fun tone, the second installment seemed to be veering towards an overly melodramatic path that didn't align with my vision.

Determined to preserve the essence of book one, which combined humor with a hint of erotica, I struggled to frame book two in a similar manner. It felt ridiculous and inadequate, especially considering the challenges Imogen faces in this part of her journey. Ultimately, I decided to embrace a new theme for book two – one focused on rediscovering love and the power of forgiveness.

As I delved into book two, I realized that it echoes the elements I love about Chinese soap operas – intricate explorations of our emotions and feelings. However, I found myself worrying that I might be veering too much into sappy melodrama. To strike the right balance, I'm making a conscious effort to tone down the drama and instead depict Imogen's struggles with authenticity and rawness.

As of this writing, the first draft is complete, but I anticipate major changes based on the feedback I've received so far about book one. But, it's all good. In the end, my ultimate goal is to offer readers a poignant and heartfelt experience – a story that captures the essence of love, forgiveness, and the never-ending search for happiness.
